Popping Jaw
Do you
have a popping jaw joint, pain in your jaws from night grinding, ringing in your ears or vertigo (dizziness)? If so, you may be suffering from a TMJ disorder. Symptoms of TMJ include jaw pain, clicking or popping of the joints, inability to open your jaw fully, or lockjaw.
What can you do?
7 ways to get relief from TMJ jaw popping fast.
1. Limit how wide you open your mouth.
2. Eat smaller and softer bites of food.
3. Don't chew gum "to work out the cramp".
4. Don't sing, cheer at a sporting event or yell.
5. Don't chew your nails.
6. Sleep on your back, with a small, soft pillow.
7. Try not to yawn, or, if you do, minimize how wide you open your mouth.
Whatever you do, don't take TMJ jaw pain lightly. It can cause serious ear, face and jaw discomfort. It can also damage the jaw joint itself.
